Sleep Apnoea

Sleep apnoea is a serious condition when your breathing stops and starts while you are sleeping. Symptoms of sleep apnoea may include making gasping, snorting or choking noises and waking up a lot unexpectedly during the night. Some symptoms are perhaps less evident but during the day you may also feel very tired and find it hard to concentrate.

Although we do not take responsibility for severe and life-threatening sleep apnoea cases, we can help with reducing key symptoms and help you get back to a more normal life.  Our custom-made sleep apnoea devices are beneficial for patients with mild to moderate cases of the condition. They also are proven to help breathing patterns and nasal pressure.

We should make you aware of the fact that our custom-made snoring devices are NOT made to completely eradicate snoring, but to significantly reduce it and therefore help you and your loved ones get much better regular sleep. Snoring occurs when the soft tissues at the back of the throat vibrates. This is not ideal for someone with sleep apnoea as it regularly interrupts breathing patterns. Our devices are manufactured and provided to combat this problem.

Custom-Made Devices just for You

Our custom-made sleep apnoea devices are effective for improving sleepiness and are beneficial due the positive airway it creates where breathing can be more thorough.  All custom-made devices snap over the upper and lower dental arches and have metal hinges that make it possible for the lower jaw to be eased forward. Although you will likely feel better rested and alert, getting used to the device can take some time. Some people have difficulty sleeping the first few nights of treatment.

All of our snoring devices are bespoke and tailor-made to easily and comfortably fit your mouth. Thanks to the outstanding design of these devices – fitted with an internal splint – adjustment is easy to achieve ultimate comfort and effectiveness. As a result of this comfort and perfect positioning, it will also reduce the production of dry lips and excess salivation. After your initial consultation, our team will be able to get your measurements and start creating your bespoke device that will fit perfectly. Any adjustments that are needed, after you’ve already started using the device, will also be taken care of by our professionals.
